They announced 3D accelerated Google Earth maps for in-car navigation and handwriting recognition. It’s sounds exciting but it gives me the chills to imagine a driver holding the wheel with one hand and crossing a T with the right one.

Its a riot that the Ford reviewer is driving at 75 mph while doing the demo. The system is a little scary - there is tons of information and new information presented in non-typical formats. Kudos to Ford for migrating information and controls in front of the driver (rather than deep in the center stack), BUT with all of that's going on in this car, I can't help but wonder if that benefit is a complete wash.
