There's also a human factors masters program at the Berlin Institute of Technology (Technische Universität Berlin), Germany. This is a two-year program, taught in German (although at least reasonable English is vital). Further information at http://www.tu-berlin.de/humanfactors

For our European readers who want to stay on that side of the Atlantic, the Netherlands is another hotbed of Human Factors. Look for programs at TNO-Delft: www.tno.nl

In Sweden there are several universities in which you can get a master in Cognitive Science where Human Factor is a major part whether you're into designing everyday things or nuclear safety.

Accredited programs are indicated with an asterisk. The information is more recent than 2002 (despite what it says): Clemson's listing includes my affiliation and I did not arrive until 2005.

The programs listed aren't an indication of accreditation and haven't been updated since 2002. There are many graduate programs in schools all across the United States that aren't on the list. This includes some of the most well known programs ones, such as Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, University of Washington and MIT.

From the website:
"Inclusion in this directory neither constitutes nor implies Human Factors and Ergonomics Society approval or accreditation. Further, no attempt has been made to independently verify the information supplied by the various programs. "
